Workshop Content
The following procedures will be covered (as listed):
- Basic airway manoeuvres (chin lift, jaw thrust)
- Oropharyngeal & nasopharyngeal airway insertion
- Bag–valve–mask (BVM) ventilation
- Endotracheal intubation
- Rapid Sequence Induction (RSI)
- Supraglottic airway insertion (i-gel / LMA)
- Needle cricothyrotomy
- Surgical cricothyrotomy
- Needle thoracostomy (tension pneumothorax)
- Chest drain insertion
- Peripheral IV cannulation
- Intraosseous access
- Arterial blood gas (ABG) sampling
- Central venous line insertion
- Defibrillation & synchronized cardioversion
- Transcutaneous pacing
- Cervical spine immobilisation
- Pelvic binder application
- Focused trauma assessment (ABCDE + eFAST)
- Joint dislocation reduction (shoulder, ankle)
- Trauma simulation
- Cardiac arrest simulation
- Seizure management (status epilepticus protocol)
- Procedural sedation
- Wound management (local anaesthesia, suturing, stapling)
