Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund & Cancellation Policy applies to all courses, programmes, workshops, conferences, online modules, and events organised by Emergency Medicine Academy Manchester (EMAM).

By registering for and/or making payment for any EMAM course or service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms set out below.

1. General Principles

All course fees paid to EMAM are subject to this Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Refunds are processed strictly in accordance with the timelines and conditions outlined below.
All refunds, where applicable, are exclusive of non-refundable processing, administrative, and payment gateway fees.

2. Cancellation by the Candidate / Delegate

a) Cancellation More Than One (1) Month Before the Course Start Date

  • A full refund of the course fee will be issued

  • Processing, administrative, and payment gateway fees are non-refundable

  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method

b) Cancellation Between One (1) Month and Ten (10) Days Before the Course Start Date

  • A 50% refund of the course fee may be issued

  • Refunds in this period are subject to a genuine and reasonable explanation for cancellation

  • Processing and administrative fees remain non-refundable

  • Approval of the refund remains at the discretion of EMAM

c) Cancellation Within Ten (10) Days of the Course Start Date

  • No refund will be issued

  • This includes (but is not limited to):

    • Personal circumstances

    • Work commitments

    • Examination schedule changes

    • Travel or visa issues

    • Failure to attend on the day

3. Non-Attendance

Failure to attend a course, either in full or in part, does not entitle the candidate to any refund, credit, or transfer, regardless of reason.

4. Transfers and Substitutions

  • Course places are non-transferable unless explicitly approved in writing by EMAM

  • Substitution of candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis and is not guaranteed

5. Course Changes or Cancellation by EMAM

In the unlikely event that EMAM cancels or reschedules a course:

  • Candidates will be offered:

    • A full refund, or

    • The option to transfer to an alternative course date

  • EMAM will not be responsible for:

    • Travel costs

    • Accommodation expenses

    • Visa or related losses

6. Online Courses and Digital Content

  • Access to online courses, recorded content, or digital materials constitutes commencement of service

  • Once access is granted, no refunds will be issued unless required by law

7. Agreement and Acceptance

By completing registration and submitting payment, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this Refund & Cancellation Policy

  • You agree to be bound by its terms

  • You acknowledge that failure to comply with the policy does not entitle you to a refund
